I unearthed a reel of tape from radio station, WMMN in Fairmont, West Virginia, dated October of 1939. On it are tunes done by The Milo Brothers and many other contemporaries of the time, including a young Grandpa Jones!

These were transcriptions from shows aired on Saturday nights, known as “The Crazy Radio Gang”, the sponsor being The Crazy Crystal Water Company, who sold mineral water crystals and, believe it or not, car seat covers!

I have transcribed this tape to digital format for archival purposes, and plan to restore the sound as best as possible. I would like to donate this to anyone interested in the heritage of fine country music, and anyone who is interested in a copy may contact me via email. I only will be charging for postage as the recording, in my opinion has no price, but for its historical value it is priceless.

Contact me, Mike Sachs, at ozark65722@gmail.com. I will let you know when the project is done and will send a copy to interested parties.
